REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Yusuf Permana said that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will take office in the capital of the archipelago (IKN) from Monday (29/7/2024). Jokowi will be accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo on his first day in office at IKN.

“Today, Mr. President and First Lady will spend the night at the President's Office in the capital of the archipelago. Tomorrow he will take office in the President's Office in the capital of the archipelago,” Yusuf said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday (28/7/2024).

Earlier, Yusuf said, Jokowi turned to IKN Sunday (28/7/2024). President Joko Widodo will inaugurate the Pulau Balang Bridge and review the construction of the expressway in IKN.

President Widodo will also review the development of the Presidential Office and the Presidential Palace at IKN. “Mr. Jokowi will also conduct other reviews including checking the readiness of the venue for the RI Anniversary ceremony and other supporting facilities and infrastructure,” he explained.

It is not clear whether President Jokowi will continue to take office at IKN or will return to Jakarta, running the wheel of Indonesia's government. Some time ago, RI Chief Press Officer Heru Budi Hartono also confirmed that Jokowi will take office from Sunday (28/7/2024).

“His plan on the 28th will be to formalize the tolls and review the (IKN). We together with the (PUPR Ministry) and the Presidential Secretariat prepare all the needs for Mr. President to take office at IKN,” said Head of the Indonesian Presidential Administration Heru Budi Hartono at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/7/2024).

Heru said that the Palace side in coordination with the Ministry of PUPR is still continuing to prepare the complete infrastructure facilities for the President's Office at IKN, including filling its furniture needs. “(Procurement of) tables, furniture, lamps, chairs are all in progress,” he said.

In addition to preparing the Office of the President, he said, Setpres also continues to prepare all preparations for the 79th Anniversary of RI, which he plans to organize in two locations, namely IKN and Jakarta.

“We are certainly concentrating there to prepare all infrastructure facilities in the framework of August 17. So later after the 28th, maybe he (President Jokowi) will have a few more visits to IKN before August 17 because there is still a series of activities (independence commemoration),” Heru said.

Regarding the details of the series of celebrations for the RI anniversary, Heru said the government will soon hold a press conference at the end of July. So far, the 79th Anniversary of RI is planned to begin with a national remembrance on August 1, 2024 and then continue with a number of other agendas, among which the awarding of honorary marks by the President of RI on August 15, 2024.

President Jokowi has previously said that he is ready to take office in IKN, East Kalimantan, as soon as there is a green light signal or a sign of readiness. This he said while giving a press statement after watching the opening match of the President's Cup at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, West Java, on Friday (19/7/2024).

“As soon as there is a green light ready, I will take office at IKN,” the president said when asked by media about readiness to be in office at IKN, based on footage received in Jakarta last Friday.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Deputi Bidang Protokol, Pers dan Media Sekretariat Presiden Yusuf Permana menyampaikan, Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) akan berkantor di Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) mulai Senin (29/7/2024). Jokowi akan didampingi Ibu Negara Iriana Widodo di hari pertama berkantor di IKN.

"Hari ini Bapak Presiden dan Ibu Negara akan bermalam di Kantor Presiden di Ibu Kota Nusantara. Besok Beliau akan berkantor di Kantor Presiden di Ibu Kota Nusantara," ujar Yusuf dalam keterangan di Jakarta, Ahad (28/7/2024).

Sebelumnya, Yusuf mengatakan, Jokowi bertolak ke IKN Ahad (28/7/2024). Presiden Joko Widodo bakal meresmikan Jembatan Pulau Balang dan meninjau pembangunan jalan tol di IKN.

Presiden Widodo juga akan meninjau perkembangan pembangunan Kantor Presiden dan Istana Kepresidenan di IKN. "Bapak Jokowi juga akan melakukan peninjauan lainnya termasuk pengecekan kesiapan tempat upacara HUT RI dan sarana serta prasarana pendukung lainnya," jelasnya.

Tidak dijelaskan apakah Presiden Jokowi akan seterusnya berkantor di IKN atau akan bolak-balik ke Jakarta, dalam menjalankan roda pemerintahan Indonesia. Beberapa waktu lalu, Kepala Setpres RI Heru Budi Hartono juga memastikan Jokowi akan berkantor mulai Ahad (28/7/2024).

"Rencana tanggal 28 beliau akan meresmikan tol dan meninjau (IKN). Kami bersama (Kementerian PUPR) dan Sekretariat Presiden mempersiapkan segala kebutuhan untuk Bapak Presiden berkantor di IKN," kata Kepala Setpres RI Heru Budi Hartono di Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Rabu (24/7/2024).

Heru memaparkan, pihak Istana berkoordinasi dengan Kementerian PUPR masih terus mempersiapkan kelengkapan sarana prasarana untuk Kantor Presiden di IKN, termasuk mengisi kebutuhan furniturnya.

"(Pengadaan) meja, furnitur, lampu, kursi semuanya sedang berjalan," ujarnya.

Selain menyiapkan Kantor Presiden, kata dia, Setpres juga terus mematangkan semua persiapan menjelang peringatan HUT Ke-79 RI yang rencananya akan diselenggarakan dia dua lokasi yaitu IKN dan Jakarta.

"Kami tentunya konsentrasi di sana untuk mempersiapkan semua sarana prasarana dalam rangka 17 Agustus. Jadi nanti setelah tanggal 28 mungkin beliau (Presiden Jokowi) ada beberapa kali lagi ke IKN sebelum menjelang 17 Agustus karena masih ada rangkaian kegiatan (peringatan kemerdekaan)," tutur Heru.

Mengenai detail rangkaian acara HUT RI, Heru mengatakan pemerintah akan segera mengadakan konferensi pers pada akhir Juli. Sejauh ini, HUT Ke-79 RI rencananya akan diawali dengan zikir kebangsaan pada 1 Agustus 2024 kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sejumlah agenda lain, di antaranya pemberian tanda kehormatan oleh Presiden RI pada 15 Agustus 2024.

Presiden Jokowi sebelumnya mengatakan bahwa dirinya siap berkantor di IKN, Kalimantan Timur, secepatnya jika sudah ada sinyal lampu hijau atau tanda kesiapan. Hal itu ia sampaikan saat memberikan keterangan pers usai menyaksikan laga pembuka Piala Presiden di Stadion Si Jalak Harupat, Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat, Jumat (19/7/2024).

"Begitu ada lampu hijau siap, saya akan berkantor di IKN," kata Presiden saat ditanya awak media soal kesiapan berkantor di IKN, berdasarkan rekaman yang diterima di Jakarta, Jumat pekan lalu.
